So in general a better Mod than uHUD, most if not all of the mods listed as uHUD compatible, that still work, are working with UIO and some newr ones are added, overall a much needed improvement, even if not using MO.Okay, basically, you are sick of the Vanilla UI as it is not really placed properly by the developers. The issues UIO had with Gopher's oHUD appear to be fixed. UIO - User Interface Organizer by jazzisparis=57174 Symbolic Links work anywhere, on any Drive. You still need to move those you are playing currently to an SSD, but even then they don't have to be in Steam.

This allows you to update and Mod Games without always moving them back to Steam. Use this program and only use Symbolic Links, not HardLinks. Unlike Normal Shorcuts they divert the program without it realising it's being diverted, so it just works as if the Symbolic Link is a Normal Folder. Symbolic Links are much safer and are basically a Shortcut that's Transparent to programs. They can cause Infinite Loops and freeze your PC. HardLinks are very dangerous if used incorrectly, just don't use them at all, unless yo really know what you are doing and it's your problem if it goes wrong. Symbolic Links are available by Command Line, but a much better way exists, adding the basic abilities to the Context Menu and overlaying the Folder Icon with a Green Shotcut Arrow to let you know it's a SymLink, red for HardLinks to symbolise the danger invoved with using them. However it's not compatible with many Mods without some conversion Process, so I recommend a Vanilla Install and Keep your Old New Vegas. When it's installer is run it doesn't actually install anything, it creates a Mod using your Fallout 3 Files, with optional choices in a separate FoMod. It gives you the choice to make a FoMod, make the FoMod. TTW is rather easier to install, than it used to be. NMM is much worse for games added after Skyrim when it's just a very basic Tool, one or two have had user additions improve things but for example its Dragon Age support is very limited, it's becoming more and more like Steam Workshop in my opinion, that's not my idea of a good manager at all. I don't recommend NMM for any game I've played at all, the best are made for a game. NMM isn't actually much good and it is a port of Fallout Mod Manager initially made for Skyrim, FoMM is much better and enough like NMM to make switching easy.

MO for Skyrim is now an awsome Manager, it will never be as good for the older games, if enough played and reported bugs it could be.Įven with Skyrim only 1 in a 1000 or less actually make bug reports, most don't or get forum help only. I always recommend you use the best manager for each game and usually you need the manager to be made when game was popular to get the inevitable bugs fixed.įrankly not enough people who play the older games use MO to get those bugs sorted, I don't blame those who choose the older managers but it's a vicious circle. It does work but is mainly used for Skyrim, so no real troubleshooting of bugs happens as few actually play them, it is really a Skyrim Manager, Wrye Flash and Fallout Mod Manager are easier to use because they were made when many played these games.
